The Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument identifies an individual’s preferred style (behavior) for dealing with conflict. The five styles are determined by combined assessments of one’s assertiveness (desire to satisfy his own concerns) and one’s cooperativeness (desire to satisfy the other’s concerns).
