It's that time when we think about all we have to be thankful for, so why not add Employee Engagement to
the list?
Sure it makes things easier. But let's be specific. Let me offer you 5 reasons for an Employee Engagement Thanksgiving…
Performance. No one denies that the employee who engages in what she's assigned to do makes efforts to do her assignment continually better. The engagement combination of involvement, commitment, and eagerness to do the work, naturally motivates the individual to strive to do it better. And better.
Harmony. When one is engaged in his work, he looks for frictionless coordination and cooperation with his peers. The effort given to one's own work creates a desire for harmony among others and with the work they perform.
Operations. A business blessed by a high number of engaged employees witnesses better operations than businesses without. Fewer errors. Higher quality. Greater productivity. Less waste and less expense.
Morale. Put several people together, all of whom delve into their assignments and perform them well, and you can practically see the morale escalate. Pride in the jobs well done boosts the sense of "we can do it even better!"
Energy. That morale forms a mutual reinforcement alliance with energy. As the morale increases, energy is generated among the employees. As their energy rises, their morale accompanies it.
I'm betting you can add your own 5 reasons to be thankful for employee engagement. I'd love for you to…in a comment below.
For now, Happy Thanksgiving!
