Yesterday's interview with Nancy Colt
detailed why and how your organization can develop its own recurring
Social Responsibility Strategy. And Nancy shared how employee
engagement is a major internal benefit your company will gain.
To make it even easier, I've picked three areas, at least one of which
may be of interest and value among your employees. If so, I hope you'll
click the link, gather some information, and inaugurate your project. If
not, I hope these three resources help you think of others.
Habitat for Humanity
Habitat
for Humanity International is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christian housing
ministry. HFHI seeks to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness from
the world and to make decent shelter a matter of conscience and action.
Probably
the most personally rewarding way to contribute to Habitat is by team
volunteering. But the possibilities also include purchases from the
HforH online store, donations, and sponsorships.
Alzheimer's Association
Our mission is to eliminate Alzheimer's disease through the advancement
of research; to provide and
enhance care and support for all affected;
and to reduce the risk of dementia through the promotion of brain
health.
Again, a wide range of support activities are possible,
from volunteering in local centers, participating in the Memory Walk,
hosting an event, and more.

National Children's Cancer Society
The mission of The National Children's Cancer Society is to improve the
quality of life for children with cancer and their families worldwide.
NCCS offers organizations the chance to volunteer, to participate in national events, to host events, and to donate funds.
Enjoy the inauguration!
