D.I.Y. employee engagement: have a T.E.A. party

tea cupAnyone will tell you motivation is the first step to increase your engagement.

But it can be hard to hold on to that desire.
And it can be hard to make it make you stay engaged or be more engaged.
Or it can fool you into thinking you must already be engaged.

Enough and’s, but’s, and or’s.

Create the opportunity that gives you reasons and ways to ramp up your engagement.

Here’s one idea.

Invite up to 5 of your associates or colleagues to T.E.A. (Team for Engagement Assistance).

Your T.E.A. can provide both motivation and accountability. Frequent conversations with others interested in being work-engaged will give you

  • New ideas that fuel your engagement,
  • Appreciation of others’ approach to engagement,
  • Feel-good from sharing your ideas with others,
  • Motivation from composite engagement success within the T.E.A.

To formalize your T.E.A., download and use a commitment sheet.
To energize your T.E.A., meet regularly but briefly.
To your target your T.E.A., set next meeting’s discussion topic in advance.

Enjoy your T.E.A.
