Gratitude and engagement are definitely linked. Consider, please:

Being grateful has emotional rewards. Being engaged offers emotional stimulation.

Gratitude expressions are well received. Engagement demonstrations are positively viewed.

Giving thanks generates more to be thankful for. Engaging gives more reason (desire) to engage.

“Thank you” is an engaging statement. Positive engagement generates “Thank you’s.”

It is reassuring, especially on Friday, that employee engagement is really very simple.

You can define specific elements of employee engagement for your work, your workplace, your workforce.

You can, therefore, readily observe and measure engagement.

Engagement is a quantity factor: the number/percentage of employees who demonstrate engagement.

Engagement is a quality factor: the degree of engagement demonstrated by employees.
