An Opportunity from the C.O.R.E. of Engagement

Announce and celebrate

Welcome
back. Today we'll continue our movement through the C.O.R.E. of
Engagement
by examining an Opportunity you can create to engage your
employees…and stimulate desired success results.

The Neighborhood (Opportunity)
Find
viable reasons to bring different teams, departments, divisions
together on a regular basis. The purpose of the event is the
opportunity for employees to meet, network, and engage with one another.

Include
both business and social components in the meeting. Engagement,
remember, involves more than mere focus on one's work. It involves
feeling and being part of one's team, one's company, one's community.

Here are some ideas:

  • Focus: client satisfaction. Event: luncheon gathering with panel presentation, each team/department represented on the panel.
  • Focus:
performance improvement.  Event: table topics discussions in which each
table has a topic and participants rotate from table to table.
  • Focus:
expense reduction. Event: announce and celebrate ERIs (Expense
Reduction Ideas) selected for implementation. This follows an extended
period during which employees are encouraged to offer their individual
    ERIs.

As you create your own focus ideas and build events
around them, please remember that you want to engage employees and have
that engagement fuel success results.

For more info: Come back tomorrow. We'll examine a valuable Resource (the R in C.O.R.E.) you can inexpensively use to generate engagement and the success results desired among your employees.
