The tragedy Haiti continues, perhaps worsens. It is neither pleasant to review nor to study. However, we have–each one of us–the power to assist the Haitian people with our hands, our heads, and our hearts.

If you plan to help the people of Haiti by contributing to a charitable organization, consider these guidelines:
Pick an organization that’s worked in Haiti before.
Pick an organization that targets disaster relief.
Pick an organization that meets the Better Business Bureau’s standards for charity accountability.
